Well, it is truly springtime in Idaho!
One day it is 80 degrees with blue skies and sun and the
next it is cold, pouring rain (and sometimes hail), and WINDY!
Five teams set out bravely into the weather,
but only two teams persevered to the end.
Kudos to them!

The definition of persevere really does fit the ride on this day:
"continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty
or with little or no prospect of success"
I'm pretty sure the horses would agree with me!
